One of my ballet teachers wants four of us to start using pre pointe shoes in February. We go en pointe in April. I was just wondering if the pre pointe shoes have helped other people.
Do pre pointe shoes really help?
yes, deffinately, i felt more comfortable working in the box of my shoes, in regular ballet class, enpointe! worth the money, the transition for canvas/leather ballet shoes to pointe shoes was easy with pre pointe shoes
Reply:They may help, but they aren't necessary, as long as your anlkes are strong enough. I went from demi pointe to pointe, and I had no problems.
Reply:Uhh, well I never had pre pointe shoes that I know of. I went from demi pointe straight on to pointe shoes after about 7 years of demi pointe ballet practice. I lived, so I am thinking this means that they aren't a necessity
