Shoes made in England!?

Can you buy stylish shoes for a man that are still made in England.

I know Clarkes used to make their shoes in England but they are now made where the labour is cheap, China etc.

Dr Martin may still make a few pairs but not a lot of style available.

Any ideas "Buy British" at a reasonable price!

Shoes made in England!?
.......Yes, there are still a lot of very good quality English shoe makers. I would highly recommend Loake, Church and Jones, to name a few. You will pay around £100 - £130 for these, or try to buy in the sale. Usually they will have leather soles, which are much more durable than rubber or synthetic, but the real benefit, is that you can have them re soled by a good shoe smith. If you buy really well made shoes they will last for absolutely ages. I have a pair of Church shoes and have had them over 10 years and they still look in tip top condition. Cheap shoes are just false economy
Reply:You can get Peal %26amp; Co shoes at Brooks Brothers, but I wouldn't say "reasonable price".
Reply:LOAKES traditional hand made shoes and they do some very stylish ones. I'm sure they will have a web addy if not 118118 slaters in manchester and get them to send you a catalogue on loake shoes
