Where can I find these shoes (on a shoe website) Rashad McCants is using?
That is Nike Air Huarache Elite II TB. Copy this and paste it on google.com to find them. I wouldn't recommend those shoes because of this:

Nov 6 McCants left the game against the Orlando Magic in the first quarter Tuesday night after spraining his right ankle.

Advice: McCants, the Wolves' leading scorer this year with an average of 18 points, was hurt when he drove the baseline and was tangled up with two Magic players under the basket. He immediately grabbed his ankle and grimaced in pain, but tried to walk it off. After taking a few steps, McCants asked coach Randy Wittman to take him out of the game, and he headed for the locker room.

Cut a whole for nike+ sensor in my shoes? Need nike+ shoes?

I heard you don't NEED a nike+ shoe to use nike+. It's just more conveniant. Anyways I've heard mixed things about nike for running so I personally enjoy asics and mizuno more. I was wondering if anyone could give me any tips on how to:

-- Where (if not cutting the shoes)to place the nike+ sensor so it works good

-- Where and how to cut the shoe to place the sensor in.

I tried to cut an old pair of shoes, I took the sole off and traced the sensor shape then started using scissors to stab and cut but I couldn't make a nice pocket for the sensor...

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Cut a whole for nike+ sensor in my shoes? Need nike+ shoes?
The transmitter doesn't need to be in the sole of the shoe. You can attach it to your shoe by using a key bag if you want. Or you can cut a hole into your tongue and sew it in there. The key is to make it as secure as possible. It measure acceleration, so if it jiggle around too much, the measurments will be off.

It is not a good idea to cut into the sole of a shoe. The nike+ shoes are designed with that hole in mind. Your shoes are not. By creating the hole, you will change the stresses on your shoe. This will likely shorten the life of your shoe significantly and could lead to some foot problems for you.

Good luck, it is a fun little toy.

How do I customize shoes?

I need directions on how to paint leather shoes, attach fabric to shoes, attach rhinestones, etc. Please list websites that are devoted to shoe customizing or *if you are a shoe customizer* you can list directions. :]

Thanks!

P.S. The main thing I want to do is sew fabric onto shoes...or use glue if that works. But I need to paint accents, too.

I would use Delta Ceramcoat for the painting. You can paint that right on the leather. The fabric is a lot trickier. Perhaps a contact cement like Duro. Sewing is next to impossible. Rhinestones and anything else probably superglue.

I have a shoe float that was made for my daycare, can I deduct the paint and materials used for minor repairs?

My husband's work built the shoe float a couple years ago, we keep it in storage and only bring it out for a couple of parades in the area we live. My daycare name is on the shoe float, I use it as advertising. I know I cannot deduct the actual shoe float, as we did not purchase the materials. But can I deduct the paint and materials needed for touch up repairs each year?

Is it legal to use indoor soccer shoes on the outdoor turf field for a league match?

I want to try to avoid getting new shoes...

Is it legal to use indoor soccer shoes on the outdoor turf field for a league match?
Law 4 requires that a player wear footwear. Law 4 also states that "a player must not use equipment or wear anything that is dangerous to himself or another player."

Law 5 specifically states that it is among the powers and duties of the referee to ensure that the players' equipment meets the requirements of Law 4.

In short, you may wear any type of footwear so long as it does not endanger you or another player. If the referee determines that your wearing of indoor shoes poses no danger to you or another player, then this would be perfectly legal.
Reply:I guess it all depends on what type of turf it is that you will play. If its the older astroturf crap then indoor shoes will work great, if its the newer Fieldturf, then you might wanna wear your regular molded or studded cleats as it plays just like real grass. Either way you should be cool.
Reply:no you can't Ita my thinking
Reply:no its not it as if u were wearing sneakers u hav to wear regular cleats

Flat feet, need shoes!?

I'm actually in need of a cross trainer, and walking shoe. I use orthotics, but many shoes (especially summer) makes it hard. Crocs work great for my orthotics, but I can only wear the mary janes because the size on the regular ones doesn't work for my feet. However, my orthotics fit in them nicely (I have the heat molded hard plastic ones). I've joined a fitness bootcamp that does cardio with some weights...so I need a cross trainer. (Running shoes aren't made for cardio). And I need a walking shoe...just for mall walking and just being on the go. (I don't need any running shoes). Any suggestions? (need ladies shoes, btw)

Flat feet, need shoes!?
AVIA fits well for flat feet. Just be sure to try the shoes on with your orthotics and walk in them for a few minutes. They should feel great instantly. If they don't go on to the next pair. No such thing as breaking shoes in, if they don't feel OK when you first put them on, they never will.
Reply:This is easy. Pick up dr. scholls for women and put them in the shoes you wear. I have the same problem, it works!
Reply:Have you tried Dr.Scholl's? They have really expanded their footwear line. They now have running shoes as well as high heels and flats.
Reply:New Balance is a really good shoe brand and are great for your feet. They are recommended by most Physical Therapists.
Reply:I have flat feet and am,with my podiatrists assist trying to deal with a bunion without surgery. The DR.had me get too large Nbalance shoe and a sports inner sole,3.65(i think they were)at Walmart. He said most of us do not buy shoes that allow our instep to fit where they should and in my case because of my flat feet I have walked more to the outside of my feet, hence the bunion.

Is americaya shoes all thread sewed ?

Hi will like to check with guys out there who has well knowledge in leathers shoes... i use to buy cheapo leather shoes which cost SGD19 to 29. but it doesnt last me longer then 2mnths. The shoes always tear easily.. recently bought a normal branded leather shoes, Americaya. The sales lady told me that all americaya is thread sewed so the front wont tear so easily.. after buying, i look at the shoes, it doesnt look like thread sewed, because there is no threading into the sole.. or is it hidden by another sole bottom.. so is it true that all americaya is thread sewed? and izite true that thread sewed leather shoes are more durable..

Is americaya shoes all thread sewed ?
Usually the vamp is sewn onto the inner sole, and the outer sole is glued on. Usually the outer sole is too tough to be sewn.

What paint can I use on canvas shoes?

I'm a pretty good artist and I want to design a shoe on the slip-on canvas shoes. But I don't want the paint to wash it in the washing wachine. Please help me.

What paint can I use on canvas shoes?
Use acrylic. Wash the shoes first to get off anything that would resist the paint. You don't have to bother drying them if you don't want to, but you will get a different effect if you do. For a richer look, instead of using water to thin the paint use medium. It comes in matte and gloss. You can of course apply the paint as it comes from the tube without diluting it.

Once your shoes are dry they should clean-up with a wet cloth. If you do put them in the washing machine use cold water and DON'T put them in the dryer.

It is a great idea.
Reply:acrylics may be ok, though be careful washing, suggest washing manually, and air/ sun dry,

http://www.trichem.com/paints.html

http://www.liquitex.com/default2.cfm

..
Reply:all these ideas are good

there are also fabric paints, paint pens. india ink. permanent marker. ...
Reply:I use acrylic paint because it dries fast as you may already knew. However, I do not recommend washing machine unless you want it to be faded quickly. You can also use inexpensive Plaid acrylic paint for experimenting, this one has fabric solution to mix with paint which is suitable for fabric also.

Have fun!
Reply:I learnt to make shoes from a real cobbler last year, you can buy special shoe paints in various colours from a shoe repair store.
Reply:I'd use fabric dye. You cant paint opaqly, but you can be reasonably sure you wont ruin things if you stick it in the wash. (so long as you follow directions of course.)

Acrylics are waterproof though, I think the worst that can happen is they's get chipped and flake off.
Reply:Try acryllics.

Where Can I Sell My Used Clothes In Chico Cali,?
thats going to be hard because most place that take clothes are non-profit so chances are they are going to give you money for your clothes ... they already run on grants and donations ... buying your clothes would go against the very fabric of their company ... that wont be 'donating" them ... trying giving them away instead

Can I use any ipod with my nike+ shoes?

I just bought some new Nike+ running shoes and now want to buy a used ipod off of ebay (I'm going cheap, I know). So first I want to know if i have to use a nano, or if I can buy like a 30gig video and use that. Also, does it have to be a certain generation or newer one? Any other info would be appreciated as well. Thanks!

Can I use any ipod with my nike+ shoes?
must use nano:

"At this time, it is only for nanos. Mostly because they have flash and not a hard drive, and because the iPod Updater only includes Nike software for nanos. If you really want to run with the sport kit, you could buy a 1GB nano for $149. That could just store your running music, or something."

What do i use to clean shoes with?

i have some shoes, black and brown leather, that both have salt stains on them live in the midwest and have had alot of snow= therefore alot of salt=

what is a good cleaner to get the salt stains out but wont damage the shoes and make them look cleaner??

thank you

What do i use to clean shoes with?
Vaseline and paper towels. It will darken the leather a bit but will prevent anymore salt from penetrating your leather again too. Use this on all new leather shoes and boots before you go out in the Midwest winters.
Reply:mr clean eraser.. shor cleaner. .. then shoe polish
Reply:You must remove the salt first. Use a damp cloth and wipe the shoes repeatedly while rinsing the cloth frequently. This way you can remove the salt without soaking the shoes.

Allow the shoes to dry at room temperature for a day. Do not use heat.

Polish the shoes with a good paste polish - not liquid. After the shoes have been buffed to a good gloss, put on a final coat of top-quality water sealant and buff that to a shine. Pay special attention to the area around the soles!

For maintenance, keep a cloth near the door of your home or in the mud room, whatever, and wipe down your shoes as soon as you get home. You should do this at work also. Baby wipes work too but a damp cloth is better. Only takes a second and keeps the shoes in great shape with little maintenance.
Reply:REAL leather? Then wipe them with a damp cloth, %26amp; once dry, use saddle soap %26amp;/or shoe polish. If they're suede, use a foaming upholstery cleaner.
Reply:No no...go get yourself some "saddle soap", it's just for cleaning leather. The other stuff will dry it out and make it crack. Then get yourself some mink oil and spend an hour a so polishing them with the mink oil, which will waterproof them and make cleaning them easier later on.
Reply:black shoe pollish from the k- mart.
Reply:try magic eraser. it's good for cleaning shoes.

Used clothing donation downtown Toronto?

Hi,

Is there a place downtown Toronto where I can drop off used clothing and shoes? The places that I checked online are all far from core downtown and I don't have a car. I live near Yonge/Bloor. Is there a place nearby where I can drop donations off?

Used clothing donation downtown Toronto?
Hi, I live in the same general area. You're right, most of the donation boxes and stores are nowhere near the downtown core. I only know of one actual thrift store that takes donations in the area, and I only stumbled on it by accident since it's "hidden" inside a plaza. You might have more luck with free pick-up services. At any rate, here it is:

Goodwill Community Store

Greenwin Square (take the TTC to Spadina and walk east on Bloor, then go inside the plaza)

345 Bloor St. E.

Toronto, ON M4W 3J6

Tel: 416-815-4749

The Canadian Diabetes Association takes clothes, you can actually call them and they'll come pick up your clothes for you for free:

http://www.diabetes.ca/section_services/...

1-800-505-5525

Oasis is an organization that does addiction and recovery work, they have drop boxes and a home pick-up service for clothes in Toronto but you have to contact them to get the info:

Oasis Clothing Bank

Tel: 416.751.0553

E-mail: info@clothingbank.ca

The Ontario Federation for Cerebral Palsy also does free pick-up, you can give them a call (the clothes get sold to Value Village and the charity gets paid for the donations):

Toronto: 416-244-0899 or Toll Free: 1-877-244-0899

I hope this helps, good luck!

I have an allergy to pine resin glue in shoes, can anyone help me find an alternative?

The allergy is is to products made from pine - in my case the glue that is used to make shoes - epoxy resin - causes chronic eczema which I have head for years - handmade shoes are hundreds of pounds, I need an easier, cheaper solution. Does anyone know of any shoes obtainable in the highstreet that would be suitable? Any other suggestions gratefully received.

If you are looking at shoes that weigh hundreds of pounds, you are in the wrong spot. There are hypoallergenic shoes that are made in different places. That is what to look for. Some of the shoes tell you that they are made with aqueous based cements and they are less apt to cause allergies.

I have a dance on Friday, and last night I got some heels. They're only a few inches high...not too long...just right. Anyways, I don't wanna come home with blisters on Friday, the dance is for an hour and a half. If I want to be used to them by Friday night, how long will I have to wear them? What harm could be done to people wearing shoes that are slightly too big?

I remember when I was younger they used to sell shoes in half sizes. Now a lot of people have to buy one size or the other.

We know the harm that comes from wearing shoes that are too small. What about shoes that are slightly too big?

Rhetorical question here... why did they stop selling half sizes :-(

you could have a bad fall.

Reply:Wearing too large shoes causes two main problems. The first is blisters caused by the shoe slipping around on the foot. The second, more serious problem is 'claw toe' this is caused by you scrunching up your toes to grip the too large shoe to stop it falling off your foot.Occasionally wearing shoes too big isn't a major problem, blisters tend to heal easily. The 'claw toe' thing is a serious problem caused by long term wear of the wrong shoes.
Reply:I think you can damage your toes by clawing them when walking. Lots of shops still do half sizes, but you may have to pay a bit more.

Having said that, a lot of the shoes that are sized do not always fit. Size 5 could be size 6 in some styles/makes if you get my meaning.

It is a bit like buying a size 14 or 12 - - some fit and some don't.
Reply:u can fall....or walk funny
Reply:My first concern would be getting blisters. They can also make you slightly more clumsy.
Reply:Trip! Try getting the right size.
Reply:they will flop off your feet.
Reply:they still sell half sizes
Reply:You can have blisters and sore feet. You will also want to be careful because you may not realize you are closer to things and trip and fall.
Reply:You could have blisters as your feet have lots playing inside the shoes and you could fall down in the stairs.
Reply:slightly to big doesnt hurt but if you make them like two sizes to big you can get blisters badly believe me i use to wear my mom's shoes but then i stopped because they where way to big and i was getting blisters

My 13months old daughter hates wearing shoes!!!?

my 13months old daughter hates wearing shoes. whenever she puts them on, she starts pulling them and striking the floor in order to take them off. even when I force her to stand up with them , she sits on the floor crying loudly and pulling them off. I thought that the problem was with her first shoes but it wasn't bec I tried with another very comforttable pair and still the same problem. Any suggestions to elt her get used to the shoes??thanks

My 13months old daughter hates wearing shoes!!!?
Parents I know who have had this problem have done these things:

Robbies (soft mocassins...shoe like but not hard soles)

Sandals (some kids just want to move their toes around)

Or, just put regular shoes on her for a few minutes. Every day increase the time she wears them. Point out other people who wear shoes (including you and other kids). Act like wearing shoes is really fun. Toddlers will start to accept something if the adult is persistent and positive about it.
Reply:Let her wear socks indoors. Don't push the shoes on her, and if you go buy a pair, buy the ones she likes. Thank you.
Reply:They may uncomfortable. However, at that age my pediatricain told me to let my daughter walk around bear foot when ever possible. I do not remember why. If she does not need shoes on at the time, let her be free. My motherhood rule is I save my fights for the big ones, who cares amount the small ones.
Reply:Dont worry about her wearing shoes. At that age they dont like wearing them. When she gets a little older try moccasons or sandals.
Reply:Any chance the shoes are too small or too tight. My 21 month old just got new shoes and we found out the other ones she was kicking off were 2 sizes too small. Their feet grow fast. Until kids are walking outside all the time they really don't need shoes. Bare feet is best for balance.
Reply:I work at a day care and the children have to wear shoes at all times, ( fire code issue). When the little ones want to take off their shoes, we have a pair of sock we put over their shoes. This keeps the shoes on and makes them forget about wanting to take them off, breaking the habit and ending the game.
Reply:Just let her not wear shoes! Socks on a baby are just fine and if she likes slippers (cute ones) maybe you could try that for a while!

My daughter use to hate to wear CLOTHES!! Try that when you have company-LOL!
Reply:Just be glad summer's coming. At her age she's better off barefoot or in socks so she can use her feet to balance and practice walking and running.
Reply:How long has your daughter been walking? Are you putting soft soled shoes or hard soles on her?

Just a suggestion...I used a shoe called Baby Paws on my son until he had been walking for a few months, then went to a soft soled shoe. Baby paws are a leather show, much like a moccasin ( http://www.babypaws.com/products.htm ) .

Developmentally, barefoot is best though unless she is out walking on rough surfaces.

In any case, it's not worth fighting with her about it now. Soon enough you will be fighting with her about how many pairs of shoes she is buying!
Reply:The shoes must be painful for her to wear!!! Shoes, at her age, are only an accessory to clothing. When it becomes necessary for her to wear them, take her to a shoe specialty store for an accurate fitting... she may require it. Good Luck to her!!!
Reply:They slow her down. My children I never rushed into shoes. Let her take her time. Heck its a blessing she walks.
Reply:I don't like putting my kids in shoes for a while, my daughter is 16 months old and has just got hr 1st pair of hard soled shoes. It is apparently better for kids to go without shoes for a while as it improves their stability. Maybe get her to try a pair of your shoes and then when you present her shoes to her make a big deal about it. Tell her to run around and jump or dance. They love being the centre of attention so get her to show dad/nan/poppy her new shoes.
Reply:keep trying to get her to put them on for a few minutes a day and gradually build up.tell her how pretty she is when she wears them and try offering a reward when she keeps them on for a little while.eventually she'll get used to them.try using shoes that still have very soft soles.their feet are still tender at this age.
Reply:Most shoes are uncomfortable for new walkers. Maybe you should try leather toddler shoes. Check out this website. My baby wore them and it's like wearing socks, but they keep their little feet protected. I know they sell them at Stride Rite.

Can I get my money back if I was given false information about shoes?

I'm extremely angry. I've been wearing a pair of shoes for over a week now, and I just found out they aren't VEGAN.

My mother bought me these shoes as part of a Christmas gift, over a week ago. When she went to the shoe store one of the employees told my mother that the shoes are not made of the leather and that they're made of microfibers or something

and the tag inside the shoes didn't say "Made of leather" or anything mentioning leather was used, like most shoes do/should.

So, she bought them for me. I thought they were made of leather at first since they felt like leather, but since the employee said they were not and there are no tags in the shoe stating what that it comes from leather, I wore them.

Earlier today I did research and found out they were made out of Nubuck, which is a "top-grain cattle rawhide leather that has been sanded or buffed on the grain side"

Im extremely mad, the store employees gave FALSE INFORMATION and the shoes DO NOT state what they are made of.

Can I get my money back if I was given false information about shoes?
Carry a cardboard sign outside the store saying "FALSE ADVERTISING" or such. You'll get it.
Reply:i do unserstand where you are coming from, with the whole "you dont want want to use any animal products".my girlfriends family is very strictly vegan.but i will tell you this.polls have shown that nearly 32% of americans ARE vegetarian,an nearly 12% of americans are vegan.of that 12 percent, only about 25% of those live vegan lifestyles, choosing not to have ANY animal products in their life.what this means is,out of 1000 people, there would be 440 people that dont eat meat,120 people that dont eat any animal products, and only 40 that dont use any animal products.by what i hear, you fall into the vegan lifestyles category.but what all those numbers mean,is that there are 560 people that DO eat meat on an everyday basis.if these animals are going to be killed for food for those 560 people everyday, there is enough leather possibly to make maybe 150 pairs of shoes.if nobody buys these shoes, then the leather goes to waste.if i were you,i would BUY things with animal products(leather,feathers,etc.)...this helps the meaningness of the animal being killed, and helping to use EVERY part of the animal.im not telling you that you should EAT meat, but eat things that the animal doesnt have to die for or suffer for, such as milk and eggs and cream, and yogurt.but please, whatever you do,do not purchase any fur products,as people truly do kill these animals for nothing but the fur.
Reply:That sucks. :-( You absolutely should be able to get yuor money back. I would start by going to the store and calmly explaining your situation to a sales associate. If your mom remembers the name of the associate that would be a plus. Explain that you were misled and would like a refund. If this gets you nowhere, then ask to speak to a manager. This should work, or at the very least you should get store credit. I don't know what kind of store the shoes came from, but I am a manager at Old Navy and we pretty much always take stuff back, even if it's been worn. Just remember to bring your receipt. Hope you are successful!
Reply:Should approach the owner or manager of the store with a printout of the definition of what Nubuck is, the item, and a receipt of sale if your mom still has it.

Call your local DA and describe what happened and ask for advice and suggestions.

It is quite possible that the worker did not know and if so, would need that information. Simmer down, because it would be more effective to be in better mood and control when you return to the store or plan to handle this matter further.
Reply:If you've been wearing the shoes for a week they won't take them back.
Reply:Write a letter to the higher authority, and cc to PETA.

Where can I get these shoes that cover your individual toes?

I saw this guy walking through the mall yesterday and he had these shoes that almost looked like the material used for water shoes - but instead of covering all your toes "like normal shoes" - you could see his individual toes!

You know, like those "Toe Socks" they have - but these were shoes!

Where can I find these?

Please don't say "Ebay, Google, Amazon, etc.." - i'm looking for a direct link please.

I will award max points to someone that can please give me a direct link to wherever these are online!

Warmest Regards,

Question about the rolling shoes (safety, price and place to find it) ?

I'm french and I live in your country for 6 month. I'll go back to France in two weeks and I would like to do a gift for my nieces. I have seen some children with rolling shoes (little wheels underneath the shoes but it can also be used as normal shoes).

I would like to know if it's safe or dangerous, the price of this kind of shoes and where I could find it in London ?

Thank you very much

Question about the rolling shoes (safety, price and place to find it) ?
I'm not sure where to buy in London. I have though seen a few articles regarding safety issues. The danger issue depends on who you ask. There seems to be a consensus with doctors who are concerned about a rise in the risk of injuries due to falling.

By the way, the shoes are called "Heelys".
Reply:You're probably referring to heely's theyre a skate shoe which have a wheel in the heel of the shoe. I have heard that kids have been able to fall over and not been able to stop them. Ive heard that leg muscles dont benefit from the rolling instead of walking properly. Its up to you, they are a toy and seem very fun but I dont think they should be used in public spaces and near busy roads.
Reply:ok, here is my opinion!

these rolly shoes r called heelys and yes they are fun and will make the perfect gift, u can find them in shoe stores, and at sporting goods stores...

they r safe.

people say they r dangerous, b/c they dont want to risk injuries (even if none hav been recorded YET!!)

but i ensure u, they r great!

they run from 60-90 dollars (depending on size and type)

so try models or toysrus!
Reply:Not safe at all there was a boy with them on this clothes store i was in and he fell split his chin and broke his arm he had to be rushed to hospital!! :-D

Don't buy them there are really dangerous and not worth the money!!
Reply:It's probably none of my business babe, but don't you think that you might get a bit more answers on yahoo.co.uk ?
Reply:I work in retail and we've always got kids rolling around in those things. They're really dangerous, we had a little girl yesterday fall and bust her forehead open. I mean, I'm sure they're just as dangerous as anything else that rolls, but I know that most people are completely annoyed by the kids who roll around in them all the time...
Reply:NO U SHOULD NOT IT IS HARD 2 LEARN N WHEN U BUY IT U WILL FIND THAT IT NOT FUN

Very confused....man buys dirty women's shoes on ebay?

Okay, so I'm a pretty big seller on ebay, most of the stuff I sell are clothes %26amp; shoes. So a man asked me a question today asking if I had any used Christian Louboutin shoes for sale. Christian Louboutin is the designer with the red sole, his shoes are very pricey. I explained to him the shoes I had for sale %26amp; that they were only worn once or twice, but in clean/perfect condition. He then wrote back saying that he wanted shoes that were really really dirty, like with dirty footprints on them. I thought maybe he was buying them for this girlfriend %26amp; couldn't afford ones that were in new or good condition. I looked at items he has bought %26amp; all he does is buy women's dirty shoes....that's it! He paid $112.00 for a very disgusting dirty paif of flip flops. Here are some links of what he bought: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie... %26amp; http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie... He buys shoes in different sizes too. Is this some sort of fetish?

Very confused....man buys dirty women's shoes on ebay?
Yes it sounds like a "fetish" to me. Some people find some very unusual things sexual or obsessive. I had a friend once say he knew a guy that had a fetish for women with dimples around her knee caps. Weird for you and I, but a turn on or fetish for him. Most women have a fetish for shoes. It's not called a fetish because it's normal for women to buy women's shoes. Now take me, I buy women's shoes for myself to wear and I'm a guy. Weird "yes" but it's something I like, it's a fetish. There is also a huge fetish community for guys/people that like well wore shoes. Weird "yes" but it's something they like. I say as long as you are not hurting anyone, it's health to live out your fetish, weird as it may be to Joe public. If this guy makes you feel uncomfortable, don't sell to him. But it's likely just "another guy" with a strange fetish. He'll get the shoes and move on.

Oh and just for the record, I have a fetish for high heels with red soles, they are so cool. Fetishes aren't something people like to talk about because it's something out of the ordinary. You can either live your life for your friends and what makes them happy or live it for yourself and what makes you happy
Reply:Yes he has a foot fetish and lots of people on ebay are perfectly happy to cater to him and others. Run a search on "well worn" you will find shoes, socks and underwear. It got so bad that ebay had to implement the ebay standards, they will be cleaned prior to shipment.

The first time I'd even heard of this was when a friend of my sold his used underwear on ebay. I didn't understand why anyone would pay more for one pair used for what they could get 3 pair new. I was new to ebay and naive.
Reply:It is indeed a weird fetish. But am I the only one laughing my a** off of this ?
Reply:I was really amused by this question and wasn't going to answer, but it was really rather tempting. I've seen odd things - I've seen dirty underwear being sold, but ummm...that's sort of a known man fetish thing. I've also seen dirty socks being sold for way much more than what you would ever buy them for. And that's strange that you would pay $112 though. Are other weird-fetish people bidding against him? You have to wonder why he doesn't just head over to a thrift store and pick up some nasty shoes there.
Reply:Some people like this stuff but... flip flops? That is sick.
Reply:eww.

those abercrombie flip flops are so gross and he paid 112.00 for them...somethings wrong with him in the head..
Reply:Yes it's a fetish. I think he's a perv, or maybe some guy who thinks he's funny, or just a generic weirdo. Either way I see red flags waving and maybe you should think twice about this guy, especially if any part of these transactions makes you feel uncomfortable or unsafe.

He has a big (dirty) shoe/foot fetish.

There is actual sites on the web for dirty shoe foot fetishes.

YUCK!

I dont think its necessarily the dirty part that they like, its the foot imprint on the shoe. (just guessing)

Golf shoes?

whats the best way do dry out sopping wet golf shoes in less than 24 hours without damaging them.(leather is used in the shoes)

Golf shoes?
I've dried out sopping wet sneakers using a floor fan. I placed the sneakers directly in front of the fan with the opening facing the fan so the air can circulate inside the shoe. Not sure how well it would work on a golf shoe. I wouldn't use heat because the leather may dry sooner than the rest of the shoe and then may crack or split. Don't know if I helped. Good luck.
Reply:I have heard that you can dry out shoes in a microwave oven. Seemingly, you put them on a medium defrost program along with a glass of water and they will dry them out.

I would try it with an old microwave and an old pair of leather shoes first to see if it works. Make sure there are no metal parts, like spikes, on the shoes.

On the other hand, a South African named Cheslyn Swart has invented a "microwave" for sports shoes which cleans them and then dries them.

Check out the story below. I haven't been able to find where they sell it though.
Reply:put newspaper inside. the paper will suck up the moisture really well. and put them by a heat vent.

How can I get my daughter to keep her shoes on?

We moved from Hawaii a year ago and my eight year old daughter enrolled in private school. The school has a strict dress code and requires girls to wear dress shoes (patent mary janes or penny loafers). My daughter's teacher tells me she's constantly taking her shoes off in class. My daughter says the shoes cramp her feet, but I double checked the shoes and they're the right size. I think she's just not used to wearing dress shoes, after being barefoot most of the time in Hawaii. How can I get my daughter used to dress shoes?

How can I get my daughter to keep her shoes on?
I would go with your daughter on this one. Have her keep them on at school when not sitting at her desk. If she slips them off at her desk, so what.

She will come around on her own.

Yours: Grumpy
Reply:Aha you should tell her that there is a spider or some kind of animal that will eat her foot if she doesnt wear her shoes and maybe she will keep them on. Lol but seriously. Try it
Reply:Ok, mom, I am glad you are concerned with your daughter's comfort. However, and this is big, why are you more concerned with the teacher's comfort? Provided your daughter doesn't have horrible foot odor, she prefers being barefoot. I am a 46 year old professional and dress the part. I still kick my shoes off under the desk. Who is she hurting? Let your daughter be herself. She will love you for it.
Reply:that's a touch question.just try to make her realize and show her that all people in the USA wear shoes and she has too also.good luck to you.
Reply:Find her comfortable shoes. Let her know that when she is at home she doesn't have to wear shoes. Or change schools that doesn't require such uncomfortable shoes.
Reply:Try buying a stylish pair to wear outside of school, so when you go out, she will want to wear her new cool shoes, and by doing so, will get used to wearing shoes. Good luck!
Reply:Duct tape

but seriously, private school? are you trying to torture her?

What is the best way to store lady's shoes without using a lot of space??? Easy to reach and find?

What is the best way to store lady's shoes without using a lot of space??? Easy to reach and find?
I picked up some clear plastic shoe boxes from Home Outfitters. You can probably get similar things elsewhere but they stack nicely. I also took pictures of my shoes and stuck those on the side of the boxes so when they are stacked you can see what is what. Very handy when you have 20+ of them!!!
Reply:This was my project a couple months ago, buy some clear shoe boxes and stack them, I've got over 30 boxes. Smaller items could double of triple up, like slippers and sandals. Try colour coding, very easy to find.
Reply:Try door-hanging pocket shoe organisers like these:

I think you can also find them at places like target.

What are the components of the banana peelings that can be used as shoe polisher?

This is for our science investigatory project. Please help me!

What are the components of the banana peelings that can be used as shoe polisher?
Banana peelings contain a lot of minerals ( potassium, calcium, magnesium, silicic acid ), sugar, starch, proteins fat, tannic acid, colouring agents, phenyl-alkyl-amines and and and.

The agents making your shoes shiny and soft are fat and tannic acid.

You can also use the peelings as nutrient for plants liking potassium ( roses p.e. ) and to make ink ( boiling peelings and iron-nails in water and some vinegar: the tannic acid reacts with the iron%26gt; black coloured solution ).

Looking for Hanes.com shoes (slides) like a pair I bought over a year ago.?

These slides have a thick soft foam rubber insole surrounded by an outer sole like is used on tennis shoes. The top part of the shoe was made out of a strip of canvas. On the bottom of the soles of each shoe is stamped the Hanes logo and "www.hanes.com". Inside, is a label that says they were made in China. The label also says "SALLY 6" and has a number "7514069". Hanes website says they no longer have that product. I am desperate, as these comfortable shoes are falling apart and I have found no other shoe to be "soft" enough in the insole to accommodate my foot problems. Anyone know where to find these or any shoe with a thick and extra soft insole?

Why does our feet sweat a lot and what should i do before using a shoe and which type of shoes is appropriate?

because it gets hot in the shoe. you can try putting some baby powder on your foot before you put a sock on or try odor eaters. usually shoes that breathe won't make your foot that sweaty

Why does our feet sweat a lot and what should i do before using a shoe and which type of shoes is appropriate?
sweating is because it is hot in your shoe. and also hormonal balances. also you should have clean feet and socks before you step into any new shoe. shoe sizes which are bigger is appriopriate for the growth of healthy feet. and will prevent athelets foot when you sweat the sweat can evaporate through the large space.

I bought a pair of reebok shoes and they fell apart, they are less than a month old, can someone help?

the store that i bought them at will not exchange these shoes, all i want is another pair of shoes, the person who looked at the shoes said that it looked like i had run something across the shoes, i know this is not true because on both sides of the shoes at the top of them on both corners the material came apart at the same place, i think the material they used in these shoes wasn't anygood. i have always bought reebok or nike shoes for me and my family because they are good shoes but i will not be buying reebok shoes anymore if they are not going to stand behind there product. can anyone tell me who to contact about these rotten shoes?

I bought a pair of reebok shoes and they fell apart, they are less than a month old, can someone help?
definitely contact reebok directly, there is a better chance of them standing by their shoe then there is of the store accepting the shoe for an exchange, especially if the refund period has past but that usually only is for shoes that are unworn anyways. The store is just going to send them back to reebok or throw them out so they are not going to do much to help you. If you have the receipt still, keep it and if Reebok tells you to send the shoes to them, send the receipt with the shoes but make a copy for yourself. The 2 links should help you in contacting the company.
Reply:reeboks have a great marketing campaign but are no better than a 20 dolla shoe.

I don't wear Reebok only Nike, Baby Phat, K Swiss, Phat Farm, etc. They last longer and are maybe around the same price as Reebok.
Reply:well...for your info, companies like nike, reebok, adidas have factories in most of the third world countries.... they manufactured sports shoes at a fraction of the retail cost...by paying so little to the manufacturing cost, it will not be surprise to see most of those shoes falling apart easily...in fact i too took my reebok to glue the bottom soles back and have them stitched to prevent them from falling apart again....

Replacing running shoes?

I am a long distance track athlete. I run about 3-5 miles on average everyday. I have had my current shoes for 6 months as recreational shoes and were used as track shoes for about 4 months. I weigh about 137 pounds and I have an average mile of 6:25. Recently I have just started Spring Track about 3 weeks ago and I seem to get worse and worse. My times have gotten significantly worse. Also when I run, I feel that my lower part of my calf near my heal hurts when I run. I really feel that that is inhibiting me from running to the best of my abilities. I just want to know if it is my running shoes that are causing these problems or is my body just quitting on me, or if there is another reason. I have ran Cross Country in the fall, Winter Track, and am now doing Spring Track. This is also my first year of doing these sports. I think I have tracked about 20 miles each week for 6 months, give or take a couple miles. Should I replace my running shoes to get back on track?

Replacing running shoes?
Check it out...your body is NOT a machine! Remember, that it needs time to recuperate and heal after strenuous runs.

It's GREAT that you run so much, however, if you want to increase your speed, you need to allow your body time to grow, heal and develop...running 3-5 miles "everyday" will only gradually slow you down. As the heavier mileage you do, the more time for healing your body will need.

With that said, you might also look into new shoes too.

Depending on how long you've had the shoes and how many miles you've put on them, may be a HUGE factor to the pain you are experiencing.

Check it out, different styles of running demand different styles of shoes...I recommend going to a specialized running store.

The best thing you can do is go down a Running Lab. In fact there's a place by that name "The Running Lab", they are FANTASTIC! And they have all different brands of running shoes.

They will have you take off your shoes, watch you walk, and even take an imprint of your foot. After doing so, they will spend a few minutes analyzing everything. They will ask you a few questions about your running style and your level of running.

Once they have finished they will direct you to a wall of shoes, that has ALL different brands of shoes on it and say something like; "These are what we recommend for you based on your foot's shape, the way you run, where your foot actually impacts the ground and the width of slimness of your feet.

After they show you the selection, try a few pairs on, take them for a "test run" around the block and once you've found a pair that you like, then get them.

The benefit of getting a fitting is that you get a shoe that conforms well with your foot.

When my spouse got back from the Running Lab her expression was, I feel as if I have a spring in my step!

It increased her confidence and she didn't have any shin splints.

Typically, most shoes will work if you are just running here or there. However, once the miles start ADDING up, and believe me they add up pretty fast, your body will start to complain if your shoes are not right.

Most people feel free to use whatever they want at first. But since your calf is already hurting (your back, knees, feet, legs, shins and or other parts of your body might start complaining too) I'd seriously look into getting fitted for a great pair of shoes. It's honestly better to go before this starts, however, anytime is better than never.

The "Running Lab" doesn't charge you extra for their evaluations and the shoes are competitively priced.

Hope this helps...
Reply:There are shoes to compensate for greater or lesser than normal amounts of this standard foot motion, called pronation. The simplest way to determine this is to examine an old pair of running shoes and check the wear pattern. Excessive wear on the inside of the front part of the shoe indicates over pronation, such wear on the outside of the front of the shoe indicates supination.
Reply:you should replace your shoes every 6 months, sooner if your a runner. My 15yo ran cross country, lettered as a freshman,%26amp; did track in jr high. He found the best running shoes to be Asics, but when buying talk to a knowledgable shoe salesman/woman to be sure you are getting the proper running shoe for the surface your running on!They are an investment but well worth it to avoid injury ie the shin splints your getting right now!!!

GOOD LUCK %26amp; GO SHOE SHOPPING=}

Do you actually need the Nike+ shoes to use the Ipod software or just the pouch to attach to any shoe?

I bought the Ipod software and the pouch for the sensor, but not sure I definitely need NIKE plus shoes

Do you actually need the Nike+ shoes to use the Ipod software or just the pouch to attach to any shoe?
My husband runs marathons and loves his Asics running shoes, so I've purchased these little shoe pouches from Amazon that is made for the Nike+ and ipod system so he can use it and his own favorite running shoes. He says they work perfectly, so give them a try...

Good luck!

What are the best shoes to use for tramping/hiking?

Is it better to have low or high ankle boots/shoes?

Is it better to have leather or waterproof synthetic?

Which brands to you suggest?

What are the best shoes to use for tramping/hiking?
Well of course it all depends on what conditions you are expecting.

But generally one with a supportive ankle is good - it will also prevent water or mud getting in.

Leather can strech and be more comfortable - and you can get a waterproof spray to protect it.

I'd say colorado or rivers - but definitely try a few brands as every person is different.
Reply:High cut is better, and the size should be slightly bigger than your usual size. It does not matter what material it is as long as it is waterproof. Sorry I cannot suggest any brand.
Reply:Each person is different.

For people who seldom hike and those who are prone to spranged ankles, I would recommend the high cut hiking shoes.

But if you are an avid hiker, low cut hiking shoes are the best way to go. I wore low cut sneakers, and went backpacking Rim to Rim of the Grand Canyon. Low cut hiking shoes are lighter and easier to walk in.

I would stay away from leather, because when your feet get hot and swell, you tend to get more blisters.

If you plan on hiking up streams and rivers, I would recommend Keens. They are more like a waterproof sandal.

If you are in a rainy climate, you might consider Gor-tex shoes. They'll keep your feet dry, but they may keep your feet on the warm side.

Other synthetic shoes, I would go and try on a few pairs. I hope that helps.

For business occasions in summer, I can't use flipflops / sandals. I have to use only Shoes..................

When the question of socks comes, which one is better - made of natural fiber Cotton or man-made fiber Nylon?

For business occasions in summer, I can't use flipflops / sandals. I have to use only Shoes..................
Get nylon. They breathe easier and cotton gets wet and stays wet too easy. You may also want to try cashmere socks, Ralph Lauren makes them. They are very breathable and keep your foot temp regulated. A splurge, but worth it.

What is the best type of paint to use on shoes and clothes?

Fabric paints, as mentioned.

Also some striking work has been done with acrylics.

I used acrylics on leather, both brushing and airbrushing. It can be put on as thin as a waterpaint wash or built up for brilliant color. Very flexible.

Ray Gray, a Michigan artist, has some fantastic trompe l'oeils done on denim jackets.

What is the best type of paint to use on shoes and clothes?
Fabric paint, sold at craft stores.

What age does doctors recomend ballet dancers to start using pointe shoes???

All ballet teachers that I know refuse to let anyone start pointe work until they are 12. My principal at the ballet school I attended brought x-rays in once showing a young childs feet and an adults. The difference in bone structure is HUGE (and not just coz adults are older).

I've heard of stories were kids as young as 10 have tried to do pointe work. The bone structure at that age is far too soft and can lead to serious injuries either straight away or later in life. I started pointe work when I was 12.

If your under 12 or haven't been dancing very long (I'd recommend at least 3-4 yrs training full time if your an older student) work on strengthening your feet. Doing simple foot exercises and build up those foot muscles. Also work on strengthening your ankles- weak ankles lead to serious injuries or problems in pointe work.

Have fun and enjoy your feet before pointe- they will never look the same after lol :o)

What age does doctors recomend ballet dancers to start using pointe shoes???
Well I went on pointe when I was 11, but I know little girls that are on pointe at 8 years old. But i don't think it's dangerous for their ankles, because they couldn't do pointe if their ankles weren't strong enough and I think doctors just think that if your ankles are strong enough, go ahead.
Reply:well there was a book i read that said 21 because the bones in your foot are strong and finished growing but most people go on point around the ages of 12-15 or even later

If the option was there, would you use your shoes and go barefoot as payment for a cover charge or just pay it?

I'm always barefoot but I don't usually go to places with a cover charge, I like going out to restaurants, movies and (classical) concerts but not to nightclubs and the like. If I were to go into one -perhaps if my friends I was with insisted- I would be barefoot already %26amp; wouldn't have any footwear to hand over!

Can i use american express gift card to buy shoes at finishline.com?

in safeway, i saw it has 50 doller and 100$ gifts card. can i use these to buy shoes at finishline.com? because i dont have a credit card

Can i use american express gift card to buy shoes at finishline.com?
My experience with American Express gift cards is that they have a very limited list of participating merchants. Americanexpress.com however says you can use them anywhere that American Express is accepted. You can also purchase Visa gift cards from certain stores, and I think these are more widely accepted just like a Visa debit card. If you go to Visa.com, then you can search locations where Visa gift cards are available for purchase to find one near you.
Reply:As long is it is credit card type you shouldn't have any problems.
Reply:What if I do not have a credit card?

Finish Line will accept purchases made with a debit card as long as it has the Visa or Master Card logos. However, if you have neither a credit card nor a debit card, please visit one of our stores to pay with cash, check or money order.

Must I have nike shoes to use the Nike+iPod Sport Kit?

I really want it but I dont want to like Nike shoes. I rather perfer wearing my converese. Is that ok or must I purchase nike shoes too? Also where can I get one?

Must I have nike shoes to use the Nike+iPod Sport Kit?
no, you can use the Sport Kit with any shoe. You can buy a clip that puts it on top of the laces, or you can improvise and attach it.
Reply:i read in the apple forums that since the nike shoes are designed for the "NISK" (too lazy to type it).. and they will register every step taken. while any other ways would only register half or only some of the steps taken. i have also heard people carving holes in their shoes to fit the reciever.

the nisk shoes are sold at Foot Locker and probably every major shoe store..
Reply:A quick look of a page on Wikipedia says it's possible with other shoes but you need some pouch that ties with the laces and I don't know how you'd get that.

What is the best shoes to use for a casual buisness workplace?

are they slip on shoes, wedge heels, high heels, non gym shoes? I've to a wide foot (wide is defined as c and I'm a d)

What is the best shoes to use for a casual buisness workplace?
I would go to aerosoles or naturlizer - they specialize in wide widths. It is generally not good to wear high heels to a casual work environment.
Reply:Well it is a litle easy to know the answer. High heels is the kind of shoes you should wear and you should put something very classical and design your hair in a up-do.
Reply:Best to have a variety of colors comfortable slingback low-heals or flat sandals to match to you outfits, espadrilles for summer. For winter, a black leather bootie.
Reply:They Mary-Jane slip ons are comfortable and look great, come in many styles and colors.
Reply:Anything other than a tennis shoes would be good but don't go out of the box and pick shoes that you are not comfortable wearing.
Reply:I recommend wearing a black leather or leather sneaker

that looks like a dress shoe but is as comfortable as a sneaker! Make sure the shoe you get has good arch support.

My second choice is ankle or calf high boots in black suede or black leather. Be sure to use black laces for both!

Wearing a dress at work try black loafers or black pumps with low heels.
Reply:flats ;] . or slip ons like vans.

if you get vans try them on before you buy the sizes run small .

and u can make them match with everything. and there comfee. .
