So members of PETA don't use leather handbags or shoes? ....?
Well, they really aren't supposed to... but as a former member, I can tell you that a large number of PETA members are enormous hypocrites when it comes to things like leather goods.

most shoe repair shops offer to replace the buckles. but you should find the ones that would go with your slippers coz these repair shops only have those usual black and brown ones.

Is pattern the correct word to be used here?
pattern is correct, but unclear. There is usally a more technical term avaiable, such as the 'cutting pattern' or 'form layout' that is more specific to the application.
Reply:'Pattern' could be correct.

How about 'design', or 'template'. How would they go?
Reply:maybe shoe imprint? are you talking about the imprint on the bottom of the shoe?

Reply:I WAS ONCE IN A MILITARY SCHOOL AND I LEARNED THE MILITARY SHOEPOLISH STYLE. FIRST YOU CLEAN YOUR SHOES WITH A CLOTH, THEN PUT WITH ANOTHER CLOTH SOME SHOEPOLISH (be kind) TO ONE SHOE, THEN LIGHT UP A CANDLE AND TAKE THE CANDLE CLOSE TO THE SHOE SO THE SHOEPOLISH MELTS, AND GO AROUND THE SHOE. NOTICE THAT THE SHOEPOLISH WILL DRY. THEN ADD A LITTLE AMOUNT OF WATER TO A COTTON PATH AND POLISH YOUR SHOE IN CIRCLES... GO AROUND YOUR SHOE UNTIL SHINES, WHEN THE SHOE IS SHINING GO TO YOUR MOM'S CLOSET AND TAKE THE OLDEST PANTIHOSE TO DO THE LAST SHINE, IN THIS POINT YOU HAVE TO DO IT HARD UNTIL YOU SEE YOUR FACE REFLECTED IN THE SHOE. REPEAT THE PROCESS WITH THE OTHER SHOE. YOU CAN USE KIWI SHOEPOLISH. http://www.kiwishoeproducts.com/category...

What kind of paint can I use to paint leather shoes?

I found some great shoes for my husband's clown costume but they need to be a bright color. I tried spray painting and I'm afraid it will scrap off. I've already started with the orange but when I tried to tape it off to paint the green, some of the orange peeled off.

Help me please.

Pointe shoes! for beginner!?

I want to get pointe shoes, but not take pointe, i take ballet, but i hear and have read that to take pointe you have to be really committed and take like 4 hours of ballet a week. what is a good brand? could you just tell me a a good shoe for begginers! like the number of the shoe, should i get a soft shank? i dont no all the terms please, give me a good shoe plus all that info. i have small narrow feet, i am size 6 1/2 what size would i be in the shoe? i am in junoir high and i want to get shoes off ebay, i dont want to spend 60 dollars on shoes i wnot use every day. i need advice, i have taken ballet for 7 years, and never pointe, my studio is a top 50 studio in the US and they dont offe rpointe, but i want to be a fashion designer, and i go to ptivate school, but they have no danc eteam and i like cheer, i dont no what ot do with my life! o, i also would like to take a sewing class and art class but there are none offered around here....ugh...help!

Pointe shoes! for beginner!?
First of all, I am very sorry to inform you that teaching yourself pointe is not only a bad idea but can be VERY dangerous. The only person who could tell you if you are ready for pointe would be your dance teacher, you have to have very strong ankles or else you can seriously injure yourself, which is a reason why you shouldn't self-teach. Another reason why you shouldn't teach yourself is because you can get yourself into bad habbits and teach yourself the wrong technique, dancing pointe is no where near the same as to dancing flat ballet. Another thing, ordering pointe shoes on ebay are a BIG no, I can not stress this enough. Unless you have danced en pointe before and have been professionally fitted for those shoes you CAN NOT buy pointe shoes on ebay they do not run like street shoes and every shoe is different, one shoe might work for your foot and another may not. Pointe shoes have to be very fitted to your foot and depending on the width and arch of your foot effects the style of shoe you should get and how strong your feet are could also effect what kind of shank you use. Bottom line, don't teach yourself pointe. I know you are very eager to throw yourself up en pointe, but it's not safe, find another studio near by that offers it. Every studio has their own requirements as to how much ballet you need to take with pointe, i take ONE ballet class for an hour with my pointe class, that's it, but I also take many other classes as well. Dance is a commitment and you have to want to do it. As far as the cheer, art and sewing classes, I don't know where you live so I cannot suggest places but why don't you look around in your local papers, online and stuff. Just ask around.
Reply:you shouldnt go on pointe if your studio doesnt offer it. and what studio do you go to? mine is also in the top 50 =]. anyways dont ever ever ever buy pointe shoes online untill you get them fitted professonaly at a dance store. its worth the $60 because you could seriously mess up your feet!
Reply:if u havent taken pointe prep, and you wont ever take pointe dont get pointe shoes! it could be really dangerous no matter how long you've danced! there not just for looks! and if your not willing to be commited taking dance at all is a waste of time...if you think you can do pointe with no dedication you are gravely mistaken because you cant. stick to ballet. oh and ps all pointe shoes are around 60 dollars so sorry if ur not going to be dedicated and use them its a waste of money.
Reply:wtf???
Reply:DONT GET THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... to a studio that offers pointe classes. It is really unsafe...you can break and ankle, permanitly dammage your toes, break your toes, over all, you just ruin your feet and ankles and regret it later. just dont get them. switch dance studios to a 1 that offers pointe classes so you can get properly prepaired. I know you really want to, bt seriously, take my advice and dont get them. If people could get pointe shoes whenever they want, then there would e 5 year olds on enpointe. Just dont do it. I can garuntee that in 10 years, you will regret it if you get them. Just dont get them...especially without permission or proper training. And yes, you have to be very committed with pointe shoes. Also, eBay pointe shoes are even more dangerous. Just dont get pointe shoes. Point blank.

POINTE SHOES ARE NOT TOYS.
Reply:Well, it's not safe to take pointe without training, no matter how much ballet you've done. And also, you don't have to be full out commited to pointe to do it. I take less than 3 hrs of ballet a week and do 30 minutes of pointe, in addition to other dance. Doing pointe without the help and supervision of a pro can cause a lot of injury and pain. I'm begging you not to make this mistake. Also, you can't just get shoes off ebay, especially not your first pair. Pointe shoes have to be fitted to your foot because several factors determine the type of shoe, not just size. You must know the shoe width, vamp width, shank hardness, and be able to try them on.

Honestly, don't do this to yourself. Pointe's not a joke and shouldn't be messed around with. If you aren't serious enough to go get fitted and take classes so that you don't get injured, then it's probably best just to find something else to do.
Reply:yeahh what studio do you go to. mines in the top 50 too =]]
