i use spikes for long and high jump, but then for running events, they dont help me run at all unless im running of the same rubbery stuff infront of the high and long jump pits. my other shoes though are la gear shoes that have NO grip on the bottom or arch support. what do i do?
What running shoes should i use?
what running events do you do? If you are a sprinter than nike has some awesome sprint spikes. If you are a mid distance or distance runner than adidas has some really good distance shoes. With the distance shoes look for a pair that has either built in spikes or just extra bumps on the ball of the foot for grip. The distance shoes that have the screw in spikes could be problem some just because sometimes they tend to wiggle their way out over long periods of time. And if they are sprint spikes looke for a pair that has a little tiny bit of a heel on it. most spikes are just flat with no cushioning at all and people will say that sprinters don't need heels because they never run on their heels but if you watch a video in slow motion they actually do. The ball of the foot does most of the work but the heel takes most of the beating while running. So either find a spike that has a little cushion or put some gel insoles into them. Have fun
