How to chose a good running shoes ..??
I would find a local running store. Not a mega-store, but a store that specializes in running. They will help you find an appropriate shoe. Take in your old running shoes, as they can tell them a lot about how you run. The people who work there tend to know a lot about shoes and want you to be in the right ones more then selling you the most expensive ones.
Reply:Try www.roadrunnersports.com. You can narrow your search as to the type of support you want. Asics I've found is really good. I was an Adidas girl for a very long time, but I tried Asics and realized it was a lighter shoe but with almost the same support. If you don't like shopping online, try a running specialty store where the salespeople are knowledgeable and can guide you. Often times they even let you run around outside with your new shoe, just to make sure you like the feel.
Reply:check out brooks running cause they work for me but go to the nearest running store and ask them
Reply:Try and find a local running specialist store, these are very often hidden just off the main streets (cheaper rents), so look through your local phone directory to find their address. These stores are usually run by runners who are very enthusiastic about what they are selling, and extremely experienced in how to choose correct shoes.

When you go to one of these stores they'll analyse your gait, foot shape, weight, predicted mileage, terrain etc. to choose what type of shoe you need. They should then come out with a range of shoes for you to try on, and if its a good store they should either let you run up and down the street or at the very least on a treadmill, if they don't then wave on your way out and go to the next store, they want your money, make them give you a good service. Once you've tried on ALL the pairs of shoes offered as suitable, and ran in them then compare and pick your favourites, if theres a couple you like don't be afraid to try them on again to directly compare, and try the pair your buying on at least twice before you buy it.

Don't attempt to buy shoes off the internet, or peoples reccomendations, everyones feet are different, and every shoe from every manufactorer is built slightly differently. Buy a shoe off the interent or solely on someones reccomendation and you'll be very lucky if you don't end up getting blisters at the least, so then you've wasted all your money as you need a new pair again. Running shoes are deffinently one thing in life you need to try before you buy.
Reply:choosing your running shoes also depends on your height and weight as well as your foot arch.

the Pearl Izumi SynchroFloat 2 is a very durable shoe which is for ppl who underpronate. it is a shoe typically for heavier ppl though. if you are a bigger runner then this wouldbe a good shoe for you

the Brooks Dyad 4 is a very good shoe made by my favorite running company. They make excelent shoes and are the best cushined shoes in my opinion. if you have a wider foot like i do then this might be your best option. if you have orthodics then this is again the best shoe for you.

if you like the asics feel then you should look at the Asics

Gel-Nimbus 9. this asics shoe has extra gel in the heel to help absorb the impact of your feet hitting the group over and over again. it is a lot easier on your knees. this is the most expsenive shoes but it is worth the money. i would recommend this shoe for you although if you dont want to shell out $120 then the other two shoes above are good alternitives.
