I want to decorate a pair of white canvas shoes. What should I use to design them so it will not wear off?

I recently bought pastels made for fabric. I have used this on a t-shirt, and it stayed however it was hard to draw clearly. Would Sharpie's be a good idea and would the ink stay on the shoe?

Draw the design on with a pencil. Then, get fabric paint like puff paint, in tubes to draw over the pencil lines. Then use acrylic paint to fill in those areas after the outlines dry. You can use fabric glue or fabric paint to fix bling things to your shoes, also.

Reply:Shoe paint. Make sure that you fill shoe with tissues or something to make them solid before painting and then design will come out as you want. Dont take filling out of shoe till it is completly dry.

Reply:They make markers that are designed for use on fabric. They should be easier and stay on well. Your local fabric store (such as Joann's) would have them as well as Michael's and the like may carry them. You can also buy them online (possibly cheaper than in person). Good luck.

Reply:Use dyes that you would use for a tye-dye shirt... That or you can take the ink stick out of a Sharpie and put it in a container of water and paint it on.. I did that and I still have all the colors on my shoes...

Use the right kind of glue for the job! As I walked, buttons popped off and went everywhere! My cute shoes became an embarrassment :(





But it can be done right! Aleenes makes every kind of glue you can imagine.

altho u might not wanna get ur shoes wet cuz they might smudge the color or sumthn.
